Let’s discover the thrilling climb of Mount Damavand, one of the Volcanic Seven Summits.
The standard Southern route is the most popular and one of the easiest route to the top of Iran.
Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Airport Pick-up and sightseeing in Tehran
– Meet our guide at Tehran International Airport (Imam Khomeini International Airport)
– Check-in at a hotel and do some sightseeing in Tehran (depending on your arrival time)
– Golestan Palace
– Grand Bazaar
– National Museum
– Have a welcome dinner in a local restaurant
– Our guide will give a mountain program briefing and do a final equipment checkup
Day 2: Transfer to Rineh Village and Acclimatization Hike
– After breakfast, transfer by a bus to Rineh village located at the base of Mount Damavand (2000m)
– We will stay at Base Camp, get some refreshment, and have lunch here
– To help your body adapt properly to the altitude, we start acclimatization hike around the camp site
– Have dinner and short briefing for tomorrow // 10PM lights out
Day 3: Ascent to Bargah Sevom Camp
– After breakfast, transfer to the starting point (3050m) by a jeep
– Begin our ascent to Bargah Sevom Camp (4200m, 5-6 hrs hike) while our baggages will be carried to the camp by mules
– Together we set up our tents and mattresses. Free time on the afternoon, you can explore the landscape
– Have dinner and short briefing for tomorrow // 10PM lights out
Day 4: Acclimatization Hike and back to Bargah Sevom Camp
– To help your body adapt properly to the altitude, after breakfast, we will take a packed lunch and hike to 4800m-5000m and stay at this altitude for 30-60 minutes, taking pictures, exploring wild flowers and volcanic landscape
– Come back to Bargah Sevom Camp and rest, free time on the afternoon
– Before dinner, our guide will check your equipments for the summit push (e.g. shoes, trekking poles, headlamps)
– Have early dinner around 5PM and sleep early
Day 5: Summit Push and back to Bargah Sevom Camp
– Have early breakfast around 2AM, take a packed lunch
– We will ascend through rocky terrains for 5-7 hrs until reaching the Summit of Mount Damavand. Note to be careful with the Sulfur fumes.
– At the summit of Damavand 5671m, we will enjoy the magnificent view of the Damavand crater. Take pictures and refill our energy.
– After summit, we descend to Bargah Sevom Camp
– Have dinner and celebrate our success // 10PM lights out
Day 6: Transfer to Tehran
– After breakfast, we descend to the starting point where the jeeps are waiting for us.
– Transfer to Rineh Village
– We can have a quick dip in a hot spring on the way, if time allows.
– Pack our luggages and drive from Rineh to Tehran
– Check-in and refresh ourselves at the hotel in Tehran
– Celebration dinner at a local restaurant
Day 7: Transfer to Airport
– After breakfast, transfer to Imam Khomeini International Airport
– Say goodbye to our guide and bring wonderful memories home

- All transportations from Tehran International airport to Mount Damavand and back to the airport
- All meals and drinks on Mount Damavand
